Better Death
Blinding light ...
mushroom cloud background
Radioactive night ...
undulating shock waves and a shrill death sound
Buildings falling down all around,
people crying and dying
It's a horrible thing to see,
civilization come crashing to the ground
For some, when the nuclear taps are played,
they died instantly
Perhaps theirs was a better death,
as opposed to the poor souls who got left
Left alive,
to try to struggle to survive
Eating dog food from a can,
makes you feel
more like an animal than a man
Perhaps the worst kind of suffering
is to experience living death
Body parts falling away each day,
laboring to take another poisonous breath
Who's to say which way is a better death,
when your humanity is stripped bare
and there's nothing left
