Betrayal

I feel the biting of the wind, stinging my ear The soft silver blanket falling from the sky, crying on me With you by my side, draped in silk I lean over the edge Admire the world's beauty When I feel your blade kiss my throat Stealing the glint of the city Mouth parting slowly..with a stupid realization Eyelids meeting, as I embrace the splattering of droplets on my skin

Thanks for sharing this... exposing your thoughts about betrayal's grim reality through your unique poetic style. Welcome to Poetry Soup. I welcome you with the love of the Lord, expressed by John 3:16 of the Bible, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." Be blessed.
