I lost you from sight my love And I lost your enchanting light Now Blind on the road of life I walk Prisoner of sorrow's haze With no hope No purpose No dreams I advance For You have carried away: The smiles The joy The laughter Of Our yesterdays, Leaving behind only The echo of our happiness To accompany my broken heart, The heart That you, once, had promised Never to betray!* © Demetrios Trifiatis 20 December 2019 *FICTION FOR ME
