Bent Not Broken

That girl that you see everyday Yea, you know her very well Her personality is very colorful and unique Always full of life, presumed to be everyone’s favorite In fact, she was once HIS favorite Lots of flowers and lovely dates After a while, what she thought was love turned into hate Degraded, beaten, and bruised She wants to leave Lost in lust, not love, she can’t see what she needs He was getting worse, but no one else could see Day by day, it’s “I’m okay, I’m fine!” Though her conscience asked her “But what will you be in due time?” She thought to herself that she would be dead Soon after, she decided to kneel by her bed She closed her eyes and bowed her head She asked with tears in her eyes, “God, why does he treat me like this? What did I do wrong?” He answered, “You are perfect, my child! Trouble doesn’t last always. Remember that you are bent, not broken.” Bent not broken, what does He mean? After hours of thinking, she finally gathered her things Out the door she went, without her ring She starts a new life, a better one at that Months later she is doing great, even though before she thought she would never reach her fate Now with her new life that she once thought was his Bent but not broken is what she is
