Beneath the mask
Tears fall from your eyes
You think no one knows
But I'm not blind
I see past the thin film that is your mask
I see your pain
And I can't make it go away
I see now
That beneath the mask
Lies someone broken and fragile
Like me, someone
whose mind never quiets, whispering
Dark thoughts of suicide in your ear
Telling you that there's nothing left
Beneath the mask
There's a mysterious person
Who threatens to take away my friend
So tell me, how do I save you from yourself
