You sure know how to write raw poetry. This was depthful, I love how the child is spinning circles- maybe still, in your mind, even while you write? Whoah, so heavy...

Woah, this is such an intriguing write with hints of darkness and certain insightful thoughts, in quite an introspective way! I love your profound wordplay here especially "there to spy with violent eye in heaven fire wayward sworn the keels of passing ships awry", "heaven and earth in dark desert bent", "gentle narcissus and nasturtium snare" Absolutely impeccable..

I found your poem quite thought provoking, Mat. I especially liked this verse: gentle narcissus and nasturtium snare brooding violet and valerian holy nocturnal vow consume hungry dog star silence wait and whispers....powerful words...have a great evening, Sara

“ silent thunder held mute in frigid winter throat” that line especially speaks volumes in such a creative manner. What a profound and moving write this is: absolute pleasure reading you
