Bells ring to give signals and calls,
Like the ones placed at school halls;
They ring for students to fall in line,
On flag ceremonies, recess and dismissal time.
Huge bells ring loudly at churches’ towers,
Calling everyone to go for prayers;
Small ones are heard inside during masses,
To commune, sing and kneel at adoration hours.
They're also used for ornaments and displays,
Especially on great event like Christmas day;
Shining brightly on every Christmas tree,
To glorify and highlight Jesus Christ’s birthday.
There are bells placed at our house doors,
Giving signals for the coming visitors;
They ring constantly down the roads
Calling children to buy ice creams from vendors.
They ring many times to give signals and calls,
On games, queues, rules…some are wedding symbols;
Sounds may either be deafening, musical or pleasant,
Bells invite, count time, announce arrivals and triumphant.
