Belief Like a Plant
Belief, like a plant must grow,
On a solid ground or foundation.
To have that, we must then know
Where to base our own conclusions.
Belief, like a plant is nurtured.
And unless it is fed quite correctly,
Its branches divert and are captured
In falsehood and mere heresy.
Belief, to be true and lasting,
Must have faith planted on solid rock.
When it stands on what God is saying-
There's no truth or strength it will lack.
So I say, read His Word, not religion.
Our seeking must come from the heart.
His Word and His promise will live on,
It is there that His Truth He imparts.
So many try to uproot what's true,
Speak on what they never experienced.
For God is real, no matter what they do-
But Choices declare our eternal sentence.
