Being Somewhere But Going No Where

The mind tells the body The body then moves If the mind doesn’t hear sounds The body doesn't move How loud do these sounds have to be Drinking beer while watching football Not moving an inch A voice I hear a yonder Faint as a whisper Take out the trash and mow the lawn This body does not move Another faint sound is heard Lucky you will not be tonight This body moves with lighting speed All chores are done Phew, that was a close one
