My covid mask’s far from beguiling, Behind mine I’m happy and smiling, I’ll put my mask on, Till covid risk’s gone - Can’t somebody work on new styling! 01/07/21

I crocheted a few with pockets for filters, so I have a variety...My insurance company actually mailed two each to us! Linda

I have a couple of pretty ones. One is black with a red rose bud on one side and the other is back with a monarch butterfly non one side. My daughter made them for me and I get lots of compliments on them. God Bless, JB

I see that you are also instructed to wear masks, Jan. The 'ladies' have acquired a nice collection (they want them to match clothes lol). Valentina has painted on some of them...her personal touch! ~ Regards & Hugs // paul

We have covid on the island now so are in lockdown, its actually a lot easier this time round and before the regs came in people were distancing and wearing masks - we KNOW the benefits we beat if last year we can do it again and get back to some state of normality again, love to you all:-) hugs jan xx

Jan, great poem and I do hate those blue masks too, but being me (I played with Barbie's as a kid that made me a super color matching fanatic) I have masks to match all my outfits and coats, some I made and some purchased, we are allowed non medical masks in Canada _Constance

many of the masks offer little or no protection so i wear these disposable ones. we have lock down for 3 weeks but i suspect it will be a lot longer:-) hugs jan xx

Hello Jan … the best of all would be to have this covid virus disappear but fat chance of that for the time being - thanks Jan - Lindsay

our lock down is initially for 3 weeks, the last 4 new cases have all been from people coming back from the uk and have tested positive on day 1 of their strict isolation. we will get covid free again:-) hugs jan xx

I've seen some fashion masks that match the outfit, or some that make a political statement. Enjoyed your lim ~ Hugs, John

- I have bought homemade masks ... she who makes them, makes them in all colors and patterns ... they are better for the skin and have a filter - less dew on the glasses - Can of course be washed and used over and over again ... greeting with a smile behind the mask :) - hugs

I think those masks are a great idea. i have seen many that look like ok bra's and have a 'cone shape' they do make me smile lol. yeah ones to stop glasses steaming up would be awesome i suffer with that too:-( also ones with clear areas for the lips so people with hearing issues can lip read:-) hugs jan xx

My wife favours the one in the picture, I prefer a plain black one. Never dreamed I'd go into a bank to withdraw money looking like Jesse James lol Strange times for sure. Tom

ha ha ha yes we do look like criminals lol, I am just accepting we have to do it, find the 2m distancing tough when people stand in the middle of the aisle and u cant get past but as there is so little stock in the shop it doesnt take long. 3 days and i finally got some bread lol:-) hugs jan xx

well done, jan! my grandkids have lots of tie-dyed and cartoony masks but i find the one in your picture the most breathable and comfortable. i agree with you, though - it's not very stylish...

I had such fun writing this one:-) To be honest I am finding lockdown easier this time as we know the routine. sadly 2 people already arrested for breaking covid guidelines i suspect it will be drink or drugs related based on what happened during first lock down. we have 3 weeks to see how we can eradicate the virus in the community, we did it once we can and will do it again:-) hugs jan xx

Well done! We have a local chap who photographs one's biggest smile and then prints it on a face mask, but the Japanese government reports a dramatic decline in communication skills because face masks prevent people from lip reading and understanding facial expressions, and recommends wearing a face shield. I never bother with color of masks. Sometimes I wear a visor. Very humorous. ~~

I got a cute washable mask for my neighbors daughter for when she started university - she is now home until at least mid February as covid is at her university ... of course we have it here now how ironic is that:-) hugs Jan xx

Thanks Mo:-) when we went into lockdown in March we got some sent over from China and some from the local chemist they are the same as the ones in the pic, when i put one on I feel like I should gown up for surgery lol:-) It is so reassuring to see so many residents following the guidelines before we went into lockdown officially at midnight :-) sadly 2 idiots have been arrest for breaking covid regs today. We beat it last yr and were covid free for 6 months we just need to work together:-) hugs Jan xx
