Behind the Facade
Sometimes you meet people
full of smiles and with beguiling charms,
They come across as smooth
they come across as never seeming rude,
they are often as slick as they dress
and have a very powerful presence
but behind the gloss there lays a truth
that within them a cur was born,
as mean as anyone you would meet,
as despicable as you have ever seen
behind the shiny facade,
These people are never quite what they seem are,
like a wolf in sheep clothing
you had better be aware,
that these people at their fundamental root
never seem to care, for anybody but themselves,
Happy to use everybody else,
don’t let these people hurt you,
see them for what they in truth.
