Before You'Re Home
You make my eyes light up like the sun.
You make me cry of just pure love.
My heart pounds so loud, just like a gun.
I smile as you look down from up above.
I wear your shirt and hold on tight,
saying you'll be home later on tonight.
My sweet dreams bring me the treats
as sweet as they can seem to be.
I wake up and I’m well aware.
Suddenly you’re no longer there.
A whole year soon passes by
before you’re home to hold me as I cry.
