Beehave

Two bees, speed date on the phone One’s a queen, and me I’m a drone Her hive’s empty, she’s feeling alone Ask’s me over, to make some clones I went buzzing, in the twilight zone My stinger’s pointed, so well honed When I arrived, she lay there prone A hornet had ripped her to the bone I took over, put my ex on the throne Life’s a honeypot, I will never atone Bee Creative Poetry Contest Sponsored by: Matt Caliri 20/06/22

Thank you Anaya, it’s full of innuendo and allusion, with perhaps a little plausibility to the human psyche, (Jokes indeed) cheers David

Congrats on 1rst place in my contest out of 55 entries!!! What a feat! I thought yours was a nice mix of humor and rhyme, with a very original twist. There was also a level of naughtiness I appreciated.

Heya Timothy, thank you for stopping by, a rapscallion indeed I am, I thought nobody would have noticed my ulterior motive for putting an X on the throne, was there ever even a hornet, lol, cheers David
