Truly, you have captured the essence of the appeal of church bells appeal: They beckon. They do. When I lived in less Jewish surroundings --- there are no churches anywhere near me now --- I remember how the pealing of the bells drew me, like ringing Pied Pipers. Amazing, their appeal. Thank you for your lovely visit and compliment, Gershon. I picture myself on a springtime mountainside and the ringing breaks the crisp air. We have a nearby church that sets off its bells at noon and 6pm. It is quite lovely.
