Because of You

Love just died, I have grieved. I need now to be relieved. My life goes on, such as it is. My love is gone, as is his. I am still here, I am alone. I am so cold, I turn to stone. What is there, what to do? The pain I bear is because of you. Never to think, this happening to me. Out of sync, just trying to be. There is one thing that I know to do. I need to shed, the weight of you.

Your poem brought to memory the words "Parting is such sweet sorrow" (a line from the play Romeo and Juliet, by William Shakespeare) I loved your ending stanza. It is always difficult to let go. Brilliantly expressed Sandra! xxoo

Thank you so much Connie. Interesting that you thought of the famous line from R and J. Letting go somtimes feels impossible.

This is well expressed again. I can feel it. There is beautiful strength at the end though too! :)
