Beautifying the Dreary Garden
I was reading a book thinking
of spring flowers I loved to plant
in my neglected garden, then
gnomes, fairies and pixies
approached me and asked me
to beautify the dreary garden.
I nodded and gave my approval,
happily they sprung all around;
and working together they sang,
" Let's make this garden very beautiful,
and play happy music for everybody;
sunshine is warm, butterflies will come!"
In a matter of hours the garden
was finished, it looked so lovely;
I asked them if they wanted to stay
and have a party in the backyard.
They agreed and started to hang
lights on trees and to spread tables.
The neighbors came out and smiled,
everybody thought it was a fairy tale,
and joined them drinking and singing...
small and big people having great fun!
