Be True To Yourself

I heard the rap, rap, rapping at my chamber door At first I thought it was that pesky raven and his words of ‘Never More’ But I didn’t want to be disturbed So I ignored the rapping upon my chamber door I could sense the anger as the rapping got louder But I wouldn’t budge, not even an inch As I sat down to eat some clam chowder I thought I could use my ear plugs in a pinch The rapping became softer upon my chamber door I felt like I was punishing a child for something it didn’t do The feeling started to make me blue I started towards my chamber door because it seemed like the right thing to do I opened the door The one to my heart My reflection was staring back at me and saying ‘Welcome home, you have been greatly missed’
