Be To Become
We wallow in the shallow every day,
oblivious to nodes within that stir,
foolishly letting ego have its way,
as the light of clear truth becomes a blur.
To love’s magnetic pull our heart must yield
or else we’ll flounder about in the dark,
for without God’s grace, how can soul be healed,
ascending heavenward on bliss beats arc.
The way to proceed then, is in silence,
moment by moment, gentling attention,
distancing self from thought borne violence,
living life vibrantly, free from tension.
As we be, we are and so we become ~
Trusting in God alone, we’ll overcome
