Be the Change

Verse 1) Take a look around What do you see A world that's crumbling People not trying to help All for themselves No longer listening We think we know it all To much pride To except advice It's not a game Nobody's playing nice So what's to be done When the odds are against you And things are not same Do you just sit there Or become the change (Chorus ) Do you see what's going on? People know right from wrong Yet they trying to hold on To the past Realizing it affects the life you'll have Please see some good Don't rely on the bad (Verse 2) The struggle is real Trying to work In the midst of work You get hurt Trying to put in more Than you getting out So many unappreciative people What is this about We were one of the greatest creation Yet we won't help this nation We'll let it suffer Than help out one another Our sister or brother Put them down rather than lift them up Judge them by the cover Rather than open the book Chorus ) Do you see what's going on? People know right from wrong Yet they trying to hold on To the past Realizing it affects the life you'll have Please see some good Don't rely on the bad Look beyond what you see It could be you or me So promise to help out That's what this nation's all about Heal this world Touch some hearts It starts with you You can begin To show its more to everyone Than just the color of our skin Live up to your title And your name Make the difference Be the change Chorus ) Do you see what's going on? People know right from wrong Yet they trying to hold on To the past Realizing it affects the life you'll have Please see some good Don't rely on the bad (repeat until chorus fades) Written by:Concetta Hardnett 3/2/2016
