Baumwollfelder/ Cotton Fields/ Campos De Algodón

Wie leuchtendes Meer Die wehenden Baumwollfelder im Wind Weisses Gold in der Sonne Im der Nähe wie kleine Zebras Suchen einige Wiedehopfe Futter ------------------------------------------------ Like a brilliant sea Waving Cotton fields in the wind White gold in the sun In the vicinity like small zebras Some hoopoes looking for food ------------------------------------------------- Como un mar brillante Ondean los campos de algodón en el viento Oro blanco en el sol En los alrededores como pequeñas cebras Algunas abubillas buscando alimento

There are still many cotton fields here in the south and they do look like a sea of white. But they are prickly to the touch. Not sure what hoopoes are, but perhaps they resemble zebras? Lovely imagery, Gert! The German was easier to translate than the Spanish in this one. I should be paying you for language lessons! Love, Carolyn

My father let me pick some cotton when I was a child so I could experience what it was like to work in the fields..It is not a fun job..I am glad that he let me experience that so I would have some understanding of what people went through at one time..Great write that brought back memories of my childhood..Keep the creative pen flowing..Thanks for stopping by and commenting on my work and giving me the information about the coffee beans..Sara
