Basho
let Basho build a fortress
beneath the sunlight fair
O let the velvet posies
in plumes of fragrant air
bleed upon the flowing water
to purify thy soul
let Basho paint sweet colors
red green orange and gold

painted pictures
i turn the amber page
through days of old
