Laura Loo's What Doesn't Kill Us contest

And yet I contest, that what has killed my weak flesh, has freed me from hellfire - from serpent’s awful thresh! Plunged underneath water, baptismal dirge of death, closed-lid tomb of darkness, has taken spirit’s breath. Snatched from the dark of night, I’ve emerged a birthed child. I’m justified by faith, sanctified, reconciled. Poetry born again - giddy talk of Jesus. He saves our souls from death. Chains fall off! He frees us. 3/2/2017 73 words

Nice write Kim, you are right baptism is important, as a first step, it's our testimony of faith, helping others in word and deed that proves our faith is alive. Very meaningful write!
