Bank Holiday Traffic

Traffic and a headache Stuffy new car smell Beautiful weather, outside of the car Mirrors the dichotomy between Internal and the external ~ Reminiscent of a mood Sitting whilst still moving forward The only difference No views shift my perspective My mind wanders To past trips When I had my eyes open Playlists were on CD And played I didn't know about personalised aircon The sky is very blue right now Shortly I'll see the sea Maybe some magic will occur As the traffic clears I sit up straight 5 inches higher than my slumped position There's the sea!

Do like this poem Dilly, tracing the thoughts that come and go somewhat like an internal movie in real time. Has an immediacy, a connection to changing views. Your voice is in this one. Paul.

Thanks Paul, I wrote another on the move called 'experiencing a - b' about the walk from the train station to the art gallery. No headache that day either :)

Quite a journey. Its an adventure driving a car for the first time, working out what the buttons do and how to turn on devices and turn others off. Loved your poem. Well constructed. Easy to read.

Made myself laugh. I kept pressing a button and said why is it not coming on. I was advised to press auto. I rechecked what I'd been pressing and it button very clearly labelled off :D

Thanks Wen, luckily I'm not learning any new buttons. I insist on only owning an old car myself - don't like the idea of caring about scratches!
