Ballerino

I turn  and lift you Sunlight plays in your hair We waltz,  the room spins rotates around us Chorus 2x: Come      once again Fill this void      (feel so empty) Change to changé—      jump so high Change to changé—      jump so high Ply,  I fold myself desperate at your feet I kneel  On the hard floor exhausted eyes meet Chorus 2x: Come      once again Fill this void      (feel so empty) Change to changé—      jump so high Change to changé—      jump so high Raise       me once more      demi-pointe Raise       me once more      hold tight I sway       in sunlight      show me the corners      of this square room Nothing—      nothing      holds meaning Nothing      makes difference I am finished anyway I will not return here You go alone for us both Dance in my arms      just one more time      pirouette      for me Once we were two      were two I was  a whirlwind curls and limbs, ambition Your turn  to lift me Tendu en avant No one watching Chorus 2x: Come      once again Fill this void      (feel so empty) Change to changé—      jump so high Change to changé—      jump so high Remove  this darkness (x3) Remove this darkness all around *** Juni 23, 2017 Copyright © Darren White

Hi Again Darren. That's certainly up to you. We all know our own work and what we think of our executions. I think its marvelous. If you do edit and work on it I can only imagine more outcome. Have a wonderful rest of the afternoon what's left of it where you sit. -- smile --

Good Afternoon Darren. Hello. Allow me to simply say Wow and Wow again. There is nothing to critique. The refrain is marvelous Darren as is the chorus. Be proud of this. Honestly. With the attached background music you give your readers the total package. Have a wonderful afternoon. Wonderful work entirely and completely. -- smile --

I like it, it has a definite jazz feel to it, kind of abstract, a staccato rhythm, a cool beat. Even though I believe you had another genre of music in mind as you write it, that is how it felt to me.

Heh, I love that. To be honest I wrote a choreography in my head to the emotions this music evokes in me. And I love it when you and other people hear and feel their own emotions and music in it :)

An eloquent dance drifting away into the distance bringing you home again. Agile leaps lift limbs and hopes sending wave after wave of freedom your way. With the taps of a delicate touch to an aching soul just sway.

Yes, that. I saw the dance alone while writing this. I love that music, can't stop writing words to it.

A suggestive and erotically charged piece rather poetically couched in ballet terminology and presenting a delicate and graceful "dance".....I enjoyed your poem.
