Ballerina
his hands seemed large
he undressed me with his eyes
his prize
painting
wet
he painted ripples
a moon, no sun
a little boat
underneath
a buoyant waterfall
where a contemporary artist
moved his wrist
gracefully;
his full-bodied stroke
used a spade
ballerina in my bedroom—
the waterfalls
out in the open
