This is special to me ... my first true love was an amazing ballerina, (and concert pianist - she is now a doctor), and taught me much about the art of dance, (including the extraordinary physical demands that many people don't realize). I have a number of poems about dance and ballet, and I love dance of ALL forms! :-) <3

Thanks, Buddy - Yeah, I take these contests far too seriously, so I'm just going to have fun with it, and keep on keeping on. I've noticed it's not always about the poem, but sometimes about who wrote it, and there's not much you can do about it whatEVER the reason. Write and read and have fun - that's my new motto! Oh GREG! I danced, it has been my life. To me, dance is poetry and I miss it so very much. What a wonderful little poem this is, and I simply adore the simplicity of the last three lines: "Is yet as sweet // As the song she dances ... // With her feet //. What a great little poem. 7 and fav.

Poetry, too!! My first true love was a ballerina - a very good one - so I have enjoyed it ever since. She helped me to appreciate it on many levels - the most physically demanding thing there is, yet few people realize it. Blessings to you my friend!
