Bad Behavior, Bad Consequences

There was a warrant out for my arrest. I’d broken laws—as many would attest. “I did it my way,” Frank Sinatra sang. I did things my way too. Now would I hang? They found me! “Come out with your hands up NOW!” Obedient, I didn’t cause a row. I served my year. That’s ancient history. I’m law-abiding and I WILL stay free! BEWARE! The cops will also come for you if you break sacred rules in your haiku! April 14, 2020 Entered in the Write a Rhyming Poem for Fun Contest Sponsor: Caren Krutsinger

Hello Janice … many get locked up for their poverty, not their crime, but in this time of life or death, a bad haiku could be severely punished - nice and witty Janice - Lindsay

This is so witty, especially the 'twist ending' - let's hope the haiku police are not looking for you!
