Backfire

So you think? So you think you know? Claim you know my temperament? Claim you understand my soul? Tell them who I am? Tell them what I like? Tell them what I know? Look into my eyes, look into my soul See the doors close? That tells you what you know See the tears and cries when I was left alone? See when my mind backfired - trying to convince myself that you were my home? Oh, there is a part of me that you will never know A part that guards this heart, a part that guards this soul So stand there all you like trying to convince them all you know! But that son died years - so many, many years ago.
