'"babylon the Great"
from your “Shores Of Babylon.”
“Babylon The Great”
Seducer, thou are wicked Babylon,
And be silver tongued as serpent slither.
With souls to credit thou doeth bond,
Conformed to thy way, they soon do wither.
Unholy wine be, your fornication,
For worldly kings to you are submitted.
Deceit in lies hide your convocation,
For many dear souls thou hath outwitted.
Thou are drunken on the blood of many,
Ridding on your beast as it was written:
Who has no conscience nor gives a penny,
Of judgment’s truth shall thou be smitten.
Upon thy forehead written in scarlet,
"Babylon the Great, Mother of Harlots."
