Autumn's Real Picture
The breathtaking beauty of Fall is not
simply about the essence of the season.
If the weather were its only contribution,
That would be an awesome enough reason.
I am awed by the massive farm machinery
used in the harvest of bean and corn crops.
I am stricken by holiday travel, family gatherings,
and celebrations between rain and snowdrops.
I am enlivened by baseball playoffs and the Fall Classic,
and set on fire by college and professional football games.
Spring is alive! Summer is great, and there is a place for Winter.
But the atmosphere and spirit of Autumn paint a picture 'in God's name'.
