Autumnal
How do I know, autumn is just around the corner? School has started back up, with kids riding the bus. I need to find my sweaters, there is a cool breeze in the air. The days are getting shorter, candles are needed for dinner. Squirrels are gathering their nuts, as falling leaves are turning pretty colors. Mom's kitchen smells heavenly, with freshly picked apples. The warm oven awaits, a crumbed top apple pie. How do I know, autumn is just around the corner? Summer is on vacation until next year, the hot days with fun are over.
Winter is still asleep, waiting to be awakened.
