Notes About The Poem

Autumn Royal

Pumpkin gold sun sets in the twilight sky, its warm colours bring me so much delight rich ginger and saffron shades catch my eye. I watch swallows dip and dive in mid flight until umber tints change day into night. I love the hues that this season will bring on the wizened leaves till the green of spring I’m told Newfoundland is stunning at fall with maple trees wearing a crimson gown, where leaves fall dressing the earth with a shawl. I love to see autumn leaves floating down, in shades of cinnamon, amber and brown. Fall’s arrival is something I desire, I’m lovely and warm by my blazing fire. Checked with rhymezone and how many syllables Required words:-:- Amber, cinnamon. Crimson. Fire. Pumpkin. Saffron. Ginger, umber. Autumn Rhyme Royal Contest Sponsored by Dale Gregory Cozart 09-16-17

A lovely poem Jan, rich in colour and warmth. Dale has set himself a task checking all the requirements. Whether you win, place or even get a wooden spoon. It does not diminish the quality of your writing. Good luck in the contest, regards as always, Kevin xx

I adore this time of year and at the end of August conkers and leaves were falling. my voice is still not to full strength I'm on soft food and painkillers and thankfully I'm not too hungry and I'm drinking honey, lemon and ginger to try and ease my throat i hope it works!:-) Apart from that I'm fine:-):-) hugs jan xx
