In a windswept lane,
Autumn leaves fell with delight.
They twisted and twirled,
With not a care in the world.
My lonely tears fell that night.
Time for thanksgiving.
The cool breezes blowing cheer.
Autumn’s beauty's here.
Feeling of love in the air.
All I could feel was despair.
Red and gold leaves fell.
Autumn’s ending, we could tell.
The wind became chilled.
My glad heart came so fulfilled.
You were in that windswept lane.
