Autumn-Filled Journey
Bereft of Autumn season exposure
I admit my innocence of its essence
While admiring nature’s revealed pleasure
God grants through vicarious learning license.
Here in the Tropics of days, Dry and Wet
I welcome September with coolness-cheer
When vacation trips are cozily set
Yet only in the mind … since year ends near.
Midst “autumnless” experience, I love Fall
With its chilly breeze, blowing wondrous thrill
Offering festive times in dining hall
Satiating cravings from barbecue grill.
Thus, I pray for an Autumn-filled journey*
Indeed great that can’t be paid by money.
*Deuteronomy 10:11 And the LORD said unto me, Arise, take thy journey…
