Aurora

Aurora Stealing a cigarette from dad’s pack A fifteen year old boy hid in grasses along a faraway shore To do the forbidden. Glad that he did. Sitting, smoking, the skies began to glow Muted gossamer curtains. Intrigued, watching Faint webs festoon themselves with color. Green, pink, blue, yellow…the sapphire sky waltzed. The first time seeing The aurora was a life changing moment Embedded in my memories.
