August Morning
White cotton ball clouds, float above the pines
The wild lavender Aster, bloom by the brook
Where the fern lean over the gurgling water
It’s a warm August morning, before the hot heat
Every step brings me something more to see
Before I return to all the birds singing to me
To carry me through this beautiful summer day
- That has only just begun -
