Atlantic City Revisited

Atlantic City on the shore of New Jersey. Where many people attempt the improbable. They’re hoping to win and leave the place with a grin. Much to their chagrin, everything they bring, they lose. They’re sorry they choose such a place to vacation. With consternation, they wonder why they all came. It’s just like setting a flame to all their hard-earned money. The land of milk and honey does not appear very sweet. But history will repeat when they return for defeat.

I know the feeling. I put a dollar in the soda machine and the soda didn't come out. I should have got a message there. Thanks for your remark on my poem. Virginia is where I left from to sail to the Caribbean. I was 18. I went back to Cuba in 88 when I was 42 but never got back to the other places.

Ain't this the truth! No one wins in the long run! I used to live in Myrtle Beach when gambling was legal there. I used to hit the free beer hard and watch all the sucker fish lose!~ Nice imagery!~

Meet me tonight in Atlantic City...A wonderful poem from you and also a wonderful song by Springsteen. Yes, "everything dies that's a fact but maybe everything that dies someday comes back." Neither one will be used any time soon to promote Atlantic City tourism!
