Peace flows gently
On the shores of a creek
Softly speaking
To emotions, healing
Caressing the breath
Serenity so soothing,
Like a silent hope
Poured out over a soul
Blessed, sacred
God’s whisper of joy
Intimate like a dream
Gasping through heartbreak
Light reflecting faith
His presence on the air
Wonder beyond wishes,
Magical and life saving – music
In the form of gentle
Trickles of cool, clear liquid
Kissing the soul, alive
With shimmering reflections
In sunlight, wispy shadows
Imagining laughter
Into the secret places
Where there is no memory
No doubt, no depression
No hesitation or fear
Never a tear or anxiety
Wherever the creek moves
Laughs blessings, tender
Murmuring undertones, sighs
Giggles like children
Playing contentedly, in water
Where there is only
Harmony, quiet notes of calm
Cool, clear waves of inspiration
Appeasing the imagination
Assuring souls that His love
Is poured out over those
Slick, smooth stones
Where we all go when we need
To feel the blessed winds
Grace and peace
Like a bed of memories
Beneath quiet trees
Who know what it is to feel
Peace like a stream
Water breathing its charm
Over the heart and soul!
I’ll praise Him through my reflections
Of a creek where I found His nurturing
Rushing over my bones, detailing
Each thought with prayers of hope
