As Seasons Pass

As seasons pass new reflections lay upon still water another petal falls...another ripple crosses both drifts away vanquished by darkness in the silence, truth is found revealing itself between earth and sky a prisoner held close to testify for every day of every year the heart has kept in memory where time captures each line cut in the face from the price paid for joyous moments and anguished struggles as we move from people and places long gone...if they ever were at all each season of each year brings a new reflection as distant days of yesterday fade like ripples from each fallen petal without thought or concern as life struggles searching for something...finding inevitability 5/27/17

Excellent post for his contest, Frederic. I rarely do well with my free verse for him but I think he may like this one! I often represent life and relationships by the seasons. Can you imagine if we did not have them??
