As I Dream
As I sink deep into my mattress and pillow, I now find peace. The lights are turned off, and prayers have been said. As I stare out the big window, the full moon is giving off it's magical glow. I wish I was there, not here on this painful earth. I feel a change taking over by body, a light speeding from head to toe. Large pretty white gates appear, the sky is filled with shiny bright lights. I am now leaving the old for the new, but what will the new bring. I see roads paved in gold, water that is crystal clear. Birds are singing beautiful songs, bright colors are everywhere I look. I close my eyes to take it all in, to smell the sugar sweet air. As I open my eyes, I see my old dark and dingy bedroom. Was this just a heavenly dream, why did I have to open my eyes.
