Art and Love
I went to the art gallery
for I love to meander in the solitude
often, alone with the beautiful art
it brings me so much peace and inspiration
in my city the art gallery is a vast place
with many rooms and nooks
and places to sit, gaze and rest
but besides the amazing paintings and sculptures
I am seeking one particular man
who I have seen previously meandering also
but, I have no idea if he will be here today
I have seen him enchanted with the art
just as I am standing and pondering
and I imagine finding him gazing at a painting
oh, what lovely art I will say to him
in a hushed and hopefully sexy voice
though, when I see him I cannot speak
I cannot utter a single word for I am entranced
but, he looks down at me for he is tall
and I give him my best come hither look
and I am drowning in his dark fathomless eyes
oh, I will hold their depth in my heart forever
and my thoughts are crashing
like the waves of a thousand oceans
then, he speaks
oh, that deep musical voice touches my soul
I have seen you here before he says
then, he smiles
and I am in a ray of sunshine
and my world is a twirling out of control
coffee ? he asks
and my heart is playing a violin symphony
yes, I say and smile at him
and that is how our love begins
