Nice haiku Sara. You are right. Now the leaves are gone. We have frost and the winter here. Enjoyed reading this. Have a nice Saturday!

Such a beautiful transformation has been reflected here.. From autumn to winter, as those crimsons and gold slowly change to white hues with chilly winds.. A gorgeous haiku this is, dear! Winter has arrived.. And it brings so much of insight too if one really reflects.. Your haiku poems always convey so much depth within such few words and I always enjoy reading them :) have a lovely weekend, dear Sara!

Technically speaking it is still Autumn, but your poem is a lovely image of winter and in only a few words you have created great imagery again.. I wonder if you ever get snow like this.. I doubt it.. luck you..

thanks for your visit, Silent One. You're right...not technically winter yet. For this Texan, once the temperature drops below 50 degrees, I'm convinced winter has arrived. smiles. No we don't get snow like that...snow doesn't usually arrive until mid January..even then, it's certainly not deep and melts within a few days. I remember the snow drifts and ice from my days of living in Indiana...too cold for this Texan so I returned. enjoy your evening, Sara

All our leaves have gone Sara, cold and wet now. Looking forward to the shortest day next week because after that the evenings become longer. Tom PS, if you've got any spare Texas sun, send it over. Lol.

oh my...winter sounds a bit drab in your part of the world. You're right, December 21st, the days slowly become longer. I'm ready! Been rainy and cold here so I can't send you any Texas sun right now...will be several days before the sun goddess returns. Have a pleasant evening, Sara

With a masterful depiction, dear Sara, you have painted a vivid portrait of the withered autumn leaves, the biting chill in the air, and the radiant sunlight that graces the scene. It is evident that winter has made its grand entrance.

So beautiful the picture you’ve used here and also how in your haiku you’ve depicted transition of seasons in such eloquence, i especially love “ autumn leaves decayed“ beautiful first line to begin your haiku with: and “ winter has arrived“ i sense acceptance of winter there in your firm last line. Brilliant haiku. You always leave a message through picturesque haikus, pleasure reading you always.
