Arizona
The Sunlight spilled down on us
Pooling in our hats and the creases on our foreheads
The creases that you smoothed out with those loving hands
What do you have to be so worried about
Was the question you asked as I slept in your arms 14 years ago
And we were there
As heat rose from the baked cement
We were under the Arizona sky
As our footsteps melted together
Hand in hand
As the mountains became black silhouettes
Against the auburn sunset
