Arizona

The Sunlight spilled down on us Pooling in our hats and the creases on our foreheads The creases that you smoothed out with those loving hands What do you have to be so worried about Was the question you asked as I slept in your arms 14 years ago And we were there As heat rose from the baked cement We were under the Arizona sky As our footsteps melted together Hand in hand As the mountains became black silhouettes Against the auburn sunset
