Arise, Christians
“For God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, hath shined in our hearts, to give the LIGHT of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ. But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power may be of God, and not of us” 2 Corinthians $-6-7.
Selfish thinking turns day to night.
Satan makes what is dark seem bright;
wrong appears right; eyes have lost sight.
Arise, dear Christians, shine your light.
Give neighbors food when cash is tight.
Comfort a teen who has stage fright;
forgive when you encounter spite.
Arise, dear Christians, shine your light.
Being truthful will win the fight;
Within you, Christ supplies His might;
refining flames you must ignite...
Arise, dear Christians, shine your light.
