The Father of our souls wants to know if we are going to have "staying power"
within us... will we stay when the going gets rough? It is not easy to walk a
walk of faith and to trust when all seems to go sour but, if we stay in there,
He always comes through!
Are You Here to Stay Or, Will You Go Away, Asked, the Father
We speak such swelling words with our tongue
words that would be better not to have been said,
promises that we’ve uttered foolishly before the Lord
and sworn, Father, we will do this before we to are dead.
That is bad enough but, we lift our hands and pretend as though the song coming
forth is from our heart, but only with our mouth do we speak,
while our mind is whirling with the affairs of the day
thoughts not on Heaven but on the earth below.
His Word declares He who worships the Father
must worship Him in Spirit and in truth,
so then we command our spirit to be under His control
if you believe He does all the work, you have only yourself to delude.
We are used to taking short cuts in a lift style
where instant seems to be the norm,
but a relationship with Father God takes much time in order
for our wills He has to fashion and conform.
Oh, yes, I have been as guilty as the rest, not taking in my
busy lifestyle everyday to seek His wonderful face,
But, I have pleaded with Him to wash me from my sin
and pardon me with His priceless grace.
Many people have accepted this God of ours
and for reasons unknown have then turned and walked away,
retreating to a world of cheap glitter and despicable sin
no, I don’t believe they had given Him ownership and absolute sway.
Now, our Father’s heart is grieving and is broken
for the children He can no longer see,
Assembled before Him in purity and holiness
Covered with the Righteousness of Jesus that had won the victory.
