Are we brave enough
Twirled about by fear and desire,
exhausted playing ego’s game,
we invoked in heart, God’s bliss fire,
with liberation as our aim.
Bliss magnetism rose when we chose
to gentle touch, thought word and deed,
following scent of love that knows,
that will to God we must concede.
Our life choice involved sacrifice,
overlooking harm to us caused
and so this path comes at a price,
with all cravings of ego paused.
This is the point where most falter,
in the bardo, far from lust’s shore
but it is here, at God’s altar,
soul wins if it lets out a roar!
