Arabesque - Repost

She crooned her arabesques creating rune-flowers Wafting sweet promises never kept Oh moonlight April night How the fragrance lingers She yet in mind sings softly in my ear “I love you” How she waltzed me round gliding whirling Oh moonlight enchanted night Then again she whispered softly in my ear Lips just touching warm sincere “I love you” Oh that fragrance that caress so soon faded The future promise never kept Her star-lit presence Now but soul’s cherished arabesque

Ah, yes, how could I forget this gem. The one you also posted at PFT recently. It's so lovely, Daver. And how funny what you said about my May poem. That Linda was our Linda from Soup! She is leaving us (so she says) and she is sponsoring a final contest on birthday cards we write to her in rispetto form!

This is beautiful, Daver. Melancholic reminiscences of "Now but soul’s cherished arabesque". A soft and tender write, Daver. It dances slowly with gentle grace. Oh, wishing you and yours the best!! Love, Mikki

Arabesques are what Ravel and Debussy loved to include in their music - a type of arpeggiated figure. Love, daver

Ah, the dream sadly fades as the dance comes to and end. I love the softness and wonderful images that create the magic then it finds disappointment as it becomes a memory. Magical Daver!

I learned a new word_arabesque..I suppose that you mean it here as a short musical piece..I believe this is the best that you have written..Enjoyed reading it today..Thanks for stopping by..Yes, there are some men out there that fit the description in my work but God does still puts a few good men out there scattered in among those lost sheep..Sara
