April Fair
O April fair,
delightful is your
warm embrace.
A welcome rest from
Winter's chill -
A gentle nudge towards
Summer's heat.
You are perfect in my eyes.
O April fair,
your showers soak
the slumbering earth -
reviving dormant life.
Nature yawns and breathes out,
a floral crown of
purples, pinks, reds and yellows.
Green ascends the throne.
O April fair,
new life abounds.
The offspring of many
enjoy your bounty.
And even I am born of you.
All this is of God,
the beauty of His creation,
ordained from the beginning.
.
O April fair,
you are my diamond,
a breath of fresh air.
