Quite a thought to ponder in your senryu, Joyce. Surely it's true, but it takes a clever writer like you to approach the challenge from this perspective. As for owls I still have a few stuffed and ceramic ones, but I sure do miss listening to that one croon outside my other home. When he was a babe, I heard a racket and found him trying to elude a hawk. I got inbetween them and I think he stayed nearby for security. Love, Carolyn
