Notes About The Poem

Apollo

Apollo

A twin -the brother of
Artemis, and the most
Attractive god was he.
Also god of music,
Archery, healing, plague
And light, he was nicknamed
“Averter of evil.”

And he had a really cool looking hand harp in the accompanying photo. :-) Being that pretty, he probably had a real identity problem. Good luck in the contest! Bill

Hard to imagine the god of plague being an averter of evil, haha. Nicely researched and packaged in pleiades format, a challenge you are more than able to meet. BW in the contest.

Originally I did not want to include plague, but I was off on my syllable count and then I noticed last line was "off" too. I originally said, "almost everything" (he was God of) but had to change to the "averter of evil" Truly, though, he was god of all SORTS of stuff.
